Nektarios Sakaroglou is the IT Manager at CMCS, overseeing operations, managing projects, and ensuring the smooth running of critical systems. Originally from Greece, he built his career in IT within the University and Government sectors before moving to the UK. Since joining CMCS in 2019, he has transitioned from an ethical hacker to a leadership role, blending technical expertise with strong team management skills.
With a background in ethical hacking, Nektarios has a deep understanding of cybersecurity threats and is passionate about staying ahead of evolving technology to keep CMCS secure and innovative. He believes that continuous learning is the key to success in IT, where the landscape is constantly shifting.
“Outside of work I’m an avid gamer and sci-fi enthusiast. I value my time and I like good food—so I live on takeaways. Cooking is great, but I’d rather not set my house on fire, I can cook, but why spend hours in the kitchen when I could be gaming or watching Star Trek instead? I’ll take a Texas BBQ pizza and a good RPG over meal prep any day.”
